To help keep residents safe, the Arlington Heights Fire Department is providing free smoke alarms and installation to residents who cannot afford to purchase their own smoke alarms, are physically unable to either install a new smoke alarm or change the batteries in their current alarms, or for residents unsure about how best to install a new smoke alarm. 

If you would like assistance, fill out the below form and a representative from the Fire Department will contact you to schedule an appointment, inspect your current alarms, and/or install a 10 year sealed never-replace-battery alarm.

Replacements for “hard wired” smoke alarms or carbon monoxide alarms are not available.
